The Lord is my Shepherd

A popular Psalm. Psalm 23. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want….yet how many of us want? We want more than we’ve got. We find something to complain about. (guilty as charged!) How it must grieve the Lord. Is He enough or isn’t He? I challenge you to re-read the 23rd Psalm and really believe it.

Nathaniel Hawthorne: Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.

  1. What a beautiful, convicting, and challenging thought. If God is El-Shaddai, “God all sufficient,” then why do I rarely believe He will indeed suffice. He told Paul that His grace was sufficient and I think eventually Paul got it, so perhaps there is hope that we too can rely on God and His good grace to be all sufficient in our lives.

  2. May the Lord richly bless you.

    Till He comes … 2011…?
